GTA 6: Single-player mode, leaked Vice City map, and more

Although GTA Online is a massive success for Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar, the developer has confirmed that the single-player mode will stay intact.

“I think you can see that with Online and I think in the future we are going to inject more of that element of a player there,” Scott Butchard, developer at Rockstar Games told GQ Magazine.

“The folks at Rockstar Games intended to create a powerful single-player experience and a story-driven experience… and then developed in addition, a massive multiplayer opportunity over the past years […] There was an argument just a couple of years ago, not around here, not in this shop, but in some of our competitors’ offices, that single-player is dead, that it’s all about multiplayer. We didn’t believe that. I said specifically and publicly that we didn’t believe that, our labels don’t believe that,” as quoted (via Realsport).

While the game has been under development for over 8 years, concrete details about the GTA 6 have just recently appeared online. Rockstar is reportedly looking for game testers in several locations including India. Reports predict that the game development could be in the advanced stage given the company is likely looking for folks to test the upcoming title.

Meanwhile, an alleged GTA 6 Vice city map surfaced on the internet showing large areas of green patches, airports, and military bases. A female protagonist might probably underway too. That said, Rockstar Games is focused on bringing GTA 5 to PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles at the moment.
